The parish of Tysslinge, includes the former parishes of Tysslinge, Vintrosa and Gräve. The parish belongs to the diocese of Strengnaes and the Deanary of Glanshammar and Edsberg. The parish is situated in the county of Naerke in Svealand some 200 km west of Stockholm. Our nearest town is Orebro (Örebro) to which municipality we belong.

Within the parish bounds there lives some 5000 persons. Most parishoners lives in the villages of Vintrosa, Latorp an Garphyttan, the last being the largest one. But here You will also find rural countryside.

Within the parish is one of the most famous places for birdwatching in Sweden, the lake Tysslingen. It’s governed by a trust with its own homepage; Stiftelsen Tysslingen.

In our parish we have three churches; Tysslinge, Vintrosa and Gräve (Graeve). In Garphyttan is a newly build chapel (1994) consecrated to St Joseph.
